What is the meaning of Music?
Music is defined to be an organized sound . It is an art of expressing ideas, emotions which involves a story , rhythm, melody, harmony and color.
A song is the mix of Lyrics with the music. If their is no music then the lyrics will only be a poem . So for creating a good song, good tune is required.
Relationship between dance and Music..
So what is the relationship between song and dance? Its not that we cannot dance if their is no song but we can dance better if we have song.
Music gives life to dance.Whether it is with lyrics or without lyrics . If we perform our dance on some song we will be able to connect and create a story.
With song one will be able to create his/her dance more creatively and easily.

Different genres of music
Indian classical is a type of south Asian music. Predominantly it has two forms Hindustani and Carnatic . Hindustani is originated from Nothern states of India and carnatic is originated from southern states of India. It involves raga, Tala and instrumental. Its roots are to be believed from the Vedic literature of Hinduism.
Folk is basically the songs from different region. Like Bhangra and giddha songs for Punjab, Bihugeet for Assam, Lavani songs for Maharastra , Uttarakhandi songs for the festivals and occasions celebrated in Uttarakhand ., Dandiya for navaratari in Gujrat , Pandavani from the folk theaters of Andhra Pradesh, Orrisa and Chattisgarh , which are narrated by the epic tales of Mahabharata and many more.
Indian pop is produced in India. It is associated with Indian film industry. It gained popularity in early 1980s and its launch in the channels MTV India and Channel V gave a huge push to it in 1990s. Since then the group of Indian pop song was established which gave rise to the singers like Daler Mehndi, Alisha Chinai, Shaan , KK, Sonu Nigam and many more.
Patriotism In India
A feeling of Patriotism is India is bet defined by the songs of Patriotism since the time of freedom struggle and independence .
Jana gana mana is the national anthem of India which was written by Rabindranath tagore.
The national song of India for uniting Indians which is Vande Mataram written by Bakim Chandra Chattopadhyay .
The songs from bollywood like Aye mere vatan ke logo , Mile sur mera tumhara, Ab Tumhare hawalevale Vatan Sathiyon and Maa tujhe salaam have fulfilled the responsibility of defining integration and Unity in diversity.
